Dorothy F. Foster

Ms. Dorothy F. Foster, age 92, passed away Saturday evening, February 7, 2015, at her home in Batesville, MS. Mrs. Foster is the widow to the late Robert Foster of Batesville. The services for Ms. Foster will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Wells Funeral Home. Dr. Tommy Snyder will officiate the service. Dorothy was born November 22, 1922 to the late Fred B. Ferrell and Mattie Lou Ferrell. Dorothy taught 5th and 7th grade English at Pope schools for 43 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville where she was involved with WMU, clothes closet, Keenagers, and was a Sunday School teacher. Her loving memory will be cherished by her daughter Debbie Foster May of Senatobia MS; one son Mike Foster of Midland Texas; 2 sisters Sarah Rose Boyd of Franklin TN, and Barbara Briscoe of Tupelo, MS; 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
