Robert L. Wilcutt

Reverend R.L.Wilcutt, age 82, passed away Saturday morning, January 24, 2015, at his home in Batesville, Mississippi. Funeral services for Rev. Wilcutt will be held on Tuesday afternoon, January 27, 2015, at 1:00 PM in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Tommy O'Dell will be officiating the service. Interment will be held at 4:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery, Cemetery Road Carrollton, Mississippi 38917. The Wilcutt family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 PM on the day of the service. R.L. was born to Birtie Lee O'Dell Wilcutt on June 25, 1932 in Fayette, Alabama. Rev.Wilcutt faithfully served the Lord as a Baptist Minster for 54 years until his retirement. He also worked for 10 years as a Sign Representative for the 4th District with Mississippi Department of Transportation. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Those left behind to continue his memory include his wife of 34 years, Betty F. Wilcutt of Batesville, MS; one son, Robert Lee "Buddy" Wilcutt, Jr. (Theresa) of Bartlett, TN; four daughters, Norma Jean Wilcutt of Winona, MS; Wanda Robertson (Don) of Winona, MS; Lisa Parsons (Ronald) of Philadelphia, MS; Donna McNeer (Gene) of Winona, MS. He also leaves behind a loving host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and one Wilcutt Great Great-Grandson. Besides his parents, Rev. R.L. was preceded in death by two children; Mr. Tony Lee Cooper and Ms. Melinda M. Murphy.
