Charles L. Darby

Charles L. Darby, 68, passed away Thursday morning, December 18, 2014 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Bethel Cemetery near Enid, MS. Mr. Robert Rawson and Reverend Tommy Darby will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, December 20, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Charles was born September 3, 1946 in Enid, MS to the late Roberts Franks and Mildred Darby Franks. He was a member of the Batesville First Assembly of God Church. Charles was a retired mechanic, and he had a deep love for Blue Grass music. One could usually find him picking away on his dobro guitar. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Connie White Darby of Pope, MS; his daughter, Tammy Marie Darby of Pope, MS; two sons, Charles Wayne Darby and his wife Sabrina of Tamarac, FL, Christopher Allen Darby of Pope, MS; two sisters, Juanita Shelton of Sardis, MS, Shirley Alred of Sardis, MS; four grandchildren, Mikal Alan Wardlaw, Charles David Darby, Tyler Blake Darby, and Trenton Alan Darby.
