Friday, October 31, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Forrest Memorial Park.  Reverend John Howell and Reverend Pat Ludlam will officiate. Friends are welcome from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home.Mrs. Gwen Hardy was born November 30, 1932 to  John Franklin  and Ruth O'Rear Ledford Hardy in Memphis, TN. She had retired from Pope School as an assistant teacher and she was a switchboard operator for Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS.Mrs. Hardy is survived by her daughter: Dovie Anderson Watts of Batesville, MS.; 3 sons: James Hardy, Jr. of Batesville, MS., Chip Hardy of Batesville, MS. and David Hardy of Batesville, MS.; 3 sisters: Helen Steiger of Memphis, TN., Phyllis Ray of Memphis, TN. and Emma Joe Pierce of Chattanooga, TN.; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
