Frank D. Dunson

Frank D. Dunson, age 77, of Sardis MS, passed away Wednesday afternoon November 12, 2014 at Tri Lakes Medical Center in Batesville MS. The funeral service for Mr. Dunson will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 14 2014, at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS with interment to follow at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw MS. The family will receive friends at 11:00 A.M. Friday November 14, 2014 prior to the service. Reverend Billy Shelby will officiate the service. Frank was born February 23, 1937 in Tunica, MS to the late Charles Edward Dunson and Mary Vickery Barbee Dunson. Frank was a farmer during his lifetime and a member of the Church of God. His loving memory will be cherished by his wife, Beatrice Chambers Dunson of Sardis, MS; 6 daughters Mary Katherine Franklin of Byhalia, MS, Sheila Ann Baker of Courtland, MS, Teresa Lynn Vaughn of Crenshaw, MS, Cynthia Marie Martin of Senatobia, MS, Angela Darlene Dunson of Sardis, MS, and Patricia Gail Darby of Sarah, MS; 2 sons Frank Mithcell Dunson of Sardis, MS, and Tony Earl Dunson of Strayhorn, MS; one sister and 2 brothers; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 4 brothers. During his life Frank had many interest including gardening and playing music. He was an accomplished piano and guitar player.
