Alice Jirleen Petty Cole

Alice Jirleen Petty Cole passed away Tuesday morning, November 4, 2014 at Sardis Community Nursing Home in Sardis, MS. Funeral services for Mrs. Cole will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope, MS with interment to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Charleston, MS. Reverend Damon Plummer will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. Alice was born January 6, 1930 in Caddo Gap, AR to the late John Thomas Petty and Winnie Pearl Mayo Petty. Her loving memory will be cherished by her son Chris Cole of Pope, MS; 3 sisters, Ailene McDaniel of Holcomb, MS, Alice May King of Greenville, MS, and Ruby Dale Buford of Flowood, MS; 5 Grandchildren, Britney Cole of Flowood, MS, Sarah Cole of Pope, MS, Caleb Cole of Pope, MS, Dylan McCollum of Pope, MS, And Jessica Gentry of Pope, MS. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband Laurice Tillman Cole, her son John Tillman Cole, her brother J.T. Petty, and 2 sisters, Loretta Knox and Pearl Blair.
