Clarence McDaniel

Clarence McDaniel, age 74, passed away Monday morning October 13, 2014 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. The service for Mr. McDaniel will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 16, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. Dr. Tommy Snyder, Dr. David Ball, and Reverend John Howell Jr. will officiate the service. Clarence Eugene McDaniel was born December 7, 1939 to the late Homer Clifton McDaniel and Irene Clark McDaniel in Dyess, Arkansas. He farmed for many years until retirement. Clarence had many interest in life but was particularly fond of fishing, working in the yard and gardening. His loving memory will be missed by his wife Barbara Mitchell McDaniel of Batesville MS; three daughters, Natalie McDaniel Evans, Sherry McDaniel Sullivan, and Paula McDaniel Williams all of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Pearl McDaniel Traywick of Batesville, MS, Mary McDaniel Coggins of Marks, MS, and Patricia McDaniel Holland of Oakland, MS: four brothers, Buddy McDaniel of Michigan, James McDaniel of California, Louis McDaniel of Virginia, Albert McDaniel of Batesville, MS; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leon McDaniel.
