Robert Elton Griffin, Jr.

Robert Elton Griffin, Jr, age 65, passed away Thursday evening, October 9, 2014 at his home in Oakland, MS. Robert was born in Marks, Mississippi October 24, 1948 to the late Robert Elton Griffin, Sr. and LouAnice Patterson Griffin. He was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church. Robert's greatest love in life was his family and in particular his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Brenda Joy Alexander Griffin of Oakland, MS; one son William Layton Griffin of Holcomb, MS; one sister Elizabeth Ann Vreeland of Grenada, MS; two brothers David Griffin of Grenada, MS and Ronald Griffin of Oakland, MS; two Grandchildren William Layton Griffin, Jr., Thomas Elton Griffin, four Great-Grandchildren; Alden Griffin, Elton Griffin, Kaylen Griffin, and Tate Hannan. A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
