Lois Workman

Ms. Lois Workman, age 91, passed away early Monday morning, October 6, 2014, at Tri Lakes Hospital in Batesville, Mississippi. Lois was born December 12th, 1922 to the late Hugo John Birkner and Alma Martha Kneiding Birkner in Creston, Indiana. She received a Masters Degree in Education and went on to teach school until her retirement. She was a member of Phi Betta Kappa and a member of the First Methodist Church in Charleston Mississippi. Her loving memory will be cherished by her two sons; Michael L. Workman and his wife Alice Fonda Henson Workman of Charleston, Mississippi and Robert B. Workman of Dallas Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. R.D. Workman. At the family's request there will be no services held.
