Video Memorial TributeThoughtfully Produced By:Wells Funeral Home  William (Son) Edwin Hudson, Sr., age 65, passed away Friday afternoon in Batesville, Ms. from injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at Sardis Lake Baptist Church with interment in Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday evening at Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Son was born October 31, 1942 in Panola County, Ms. to the late George William and Edna Mae Morrow Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a retired SFC with the Mississippi National Guard, and currently serving as the Panola County Emergency 911 Civil Defense Coordinator.  He has been very active throughout Panola County and the State of Mississippi. Son was an active member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church, and his additional memberships and associations include Panola County Homeland Security Director, Panola County E-911 Coordinator, Panola County Fire Coordinator, Panola County Tri-Ad, Panola County SALT Council, Panola County LEPC and Hazard Mitigation, Mississippi Civil Defense Emergency Management Association, Mississippi Firefighters Association, Mississippi E-911 Coordinators Association, Life member of the Mississippi National Guard N.C.O. Association, Treasurer for Primera Panola Mission Bautista, and President of Hotophia Water Association. Mr. Hudson is survived by two daughters, Leigh Beth Hudson of Batesville, Ms., Melanie Nirschl and husband Gary of Huntsville, Al.; 2 sons, Bill Hudson and wife Kathy also of Huntsville, Al., Rusty Hudson of Cordova, Tn.; one brother, James Rodney Hudson of Sardis, Ms. and Seven Grandchildren.
