Harold Dean Holliman, age 87, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2014, at his home in Sardis, MS. He is the widower of the late Maxine E. Holliman.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, September 2, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home.
Harold was born June 22, 1927 in Kerrville, TN to the late Lewis and Essie Greenleaf Holliman. He was a retired farmer and also retired after forty years of service to Transport Services as a tanker truck driver. Harold was member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.
Harold is survived by his four daughters, Brenda Graves of Batesville, MS, Elizabeth Ann Henson of Sardis, MS, Vera L. Friend of Sardis, MS, Theresa K. Speece of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Barry "Butch" W. Holliman of Oxford, MS, Larry L. Holliman of Barlett, TN; three sisters, Faye Brandon of Hattiesburg, MS, Diane Yarborough of Ripley, TN, Jeanie Stubberfield of Hernando, MS; one brother, Stan C. Holliman of Bells, TN; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Harold was preceded in death by his daughter, Delores C. Holliman; two sisters, Arvin Taylor, Patricia "Pat" Apperson; three brothers, Talmage Holliman, Kenneth Holliman, and Clay Holliman.
