Billy Wayne Woods, Sr., age 70, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at his home near Sardis, MS. Billy was born October 1, 1943 in Marks, MS to the late Henry and Ella Woods. He was a retired farmer. Billy is survived by his wife, Joy "Missy" Woods of Sardis, MS; daughter, Barbara Lynn Woods White of Pontotoc, MS; step-daughter, Deanna Gail Rushing of Harrison, AR; son, Billy Woods, Jr. of Batesville, MS; step-son, Charles "Al" Williford of Florida; 2 sisters, Lena Davis of Jena, LA, Virginia Culbreath of Texas; two brothers, Johnny Woods of Batesville, MS, Henry "H.O." Woods of Jackson, MS; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Per Mr. Woods wishes, there will be no services.
