Alice Margarette Sanders Tillie

Alice Margarette Sanders Tillie, age 64, passed away Tuesday morning, August 19, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. The funeral service for Mrs. Tillie will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2014, at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS with interment to follow at Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery in Sardis, MS. The family will receive friends Friday August 22, 2014 prior to the funeral at 12:00 noon. Reverend Kevin Crofford will officiate the service. Alice was born December 27, 1934 in Memphis TN to the late Odis Sanders and Nancy Marie Kennedy Sanders. She was a retired Clerk from the Mississippi Department of Human Services. Alice was an active and faithful member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church. Her loving memory will be cherished by her husband, Steven Tillie, of Pope MS; four daughters and their spouses, Deanna Marie Tillie Towles and Douglas Chant of Batesville, MS, Melissa Renee Tillie Towles and husband Billy of Batesville, MS, Stephanie Lynn Tillie Caruthers and husband Scott of Batesville, MS, Tanya Nicole Tillie Moses and husband Troy of Batesville, MS; brother, Fred Sanders and wife Rhonda of Pope, MS; 12 grandchildren, Austin Towles, Amber Towles, Courtney Towles, Rachel Towles, Kacie Towles, Bailey Towles, Katie Caruthers, Anna Caruthers, Hunter Hayes Caruthers, Kennedy Moses, Gunner Moses and Fallon Moses, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Alice had many interest in her life including, baseball games, traveling, camping, boating, and yard work. Her greatest love was her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a lover of life and lived her life to help others.
