Eleanor Day Pratt, 80, wife of Hunter Pratt, passed away Sunday morning, August 17, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Batesville, MS.
The funeral service for Mrs. Pratt will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday morning, August 20, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home with an additional visitation 9:00 A.M. Wednesday morning at the First Baptist Church. Dr. Tommy Snyder and Dr. David Ball will be officiating the service.
Eleanor was born February 20, 1934 in Marks, MS to the late William A. Day, Jr. and Mary Ammy Bagwell Day. She was a retired Registered Nurse from South Panola Community Hospital in Batesville, MS. Eleanor was an active and faithful member of the First Baptist Church, along with being a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Her loving memory will be cherished by her husband, George Hunter Pratt, Sr. of Batesville, MS; two sons, George Pratt (Edye) of Batesville, MS, Greg Pratt of Richardson, TX; brother, Billy Day of Memphis, TN; four grandchildren, Thom Hunter Pratt, Jeana Margaret Pratt, Hunter Alan Pratt, and Yancey Ann Pratt.
