Frank W. Brown

Frank W. Brown, age 68, passed away Thursday evening, July 17, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. The funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Al Mullan officiating. Burial will follow in Peach Creek Cemetery, Sardis, MS. The Brown family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Wells Funeral Home. Frank was born to the late Pole & Bertie Lou Vance Brown on July 19, 1945, in Indianola, Mississippi. He was a retired insurance agent. Mr. Brown also worked for ACI Building Systems out of Batesville, MS. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and he took much pride in manicuring his lawn. Those loving family members he leaves behind include his wife, Linda Davis Brown, of Batesville, MS; 4 daughters, Melanie Brown Askew of Maben, MS, Selina Card Baker of Nesbit, MS, Kecia Jade Parrish of Olive Branch, MS and Kristen Shay Helmes of Enid, MS; 2 sons, Frank W. Brown, Jr., of Oxford, MS and Gerry Card of Texas; 3 sisters, Geneva Rodgers of Greenville, MS, Margaret Ann Tinnon of Texas and Shelia Carson of Greenville, MS; 4 Brothers: Otis Brown of Granite City, IL, Gene Brown of Greenville, MS, Johnny Brown of Texas & Dennis Brown of Mercer, TN; along with 16 Grandchildren & 2 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Gladys Brown, Peggy Tharp; brother, Curtis Brown and one granddaughter, Abigail South.
