Louise D. Collins

Louise D. Collins, age 88, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2014, at Tallahatchie General Hosptial Extended Care Home, Charleston, MS. The funeral service for Ms. Collins will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Dan Beardain presiding. Burial will be held in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time on Saturday. Louise was born to the late Lige M. & Dovie Hollinsworth Deaton on October 29, 1925 in Enid, Mississippi. She was a member of the Enid Lake Church of Christ and a homemaker. Her survivors include a daughter, Brenda Dixon of Pope, MS; one brother, John E. Deaton of Enid; 8 grandchildren: Jeff Mitchell, Michael Barbee, Stephanie Anthony, Josh Collins, Ashley Hendricks, Brad Mason, Joseph Mason and Katy White; 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Ms.Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Russell V. Collins, daughter, Patricia Ann Sandifer; son, Randy Lee Collins, one granddaughter, Leigh Anne Horton.
