Ernest "Ernie" Munoz, Jr.

Ernest "Ernie" Munoz, Jr. age 72, died on Thursday afternoon in Baptist Desoto Hospital, Southaven, MS. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at Wells Funeral Home. Ernie was born to Elida Lopez & Ernest Munoz, Sr., on April 10, 1942 in Loredo, Texas. He worked for Panola County Sheriff's Department as a Work Release Supervisor. Before moving to Mississippi, Ernie enjoyed being "Dancing Harry", the Mascot for the San Antonio Spurs. Those who attended the games will remember him well for the entertainment he provided. Mr. Munoz's family members who will continue to cherish his memory include his wife, Orfelinda Munoz of Weslaco, TX; 5 sons, Ernest Mike Munoz, Ernest Munoz, III, Ricky Munzo, all of San Antonio, TX, Michael Anthony Munoz and Jason Munoz both of Weslaco, TX; 2 sisters, Rachel Jones & Rosetina Jero of San Antonio, TX; 7 brothers, Robert Munoz, Henry Munoz, Roy Munoz, Richard Munoz, Gilbert Munoz, Albert Munoz and Danny Munoz, all of San Antonio, TX, and numerous grandchildren.
