James D. Savage

James "Gig" Savage, age 56, widower of the late Pamelia Brown Savage, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2014, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Funeral services for James will be 2:00 O'clock P.M. Tuesday June 17, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon until service time. Rev. Larry Kilgore will be officiating the funeral service. James was born May 7, 1958 in Memphis, TN to the late Joseph Richard and Charlene Bishop Savage. James took pride in himself as a hard working and successful carpenter. Those family members he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three daughters, Jacquelyn Savage Pouncy of Enid, MS, Jamie Savage Helmes of Pope, MS, Jody Savage Smith of Lambert, MS; four sisters, Donna Savage Harris of Oakland, MS, Dottie Savage Laster of Ft. Payne, AL, Johnna Savage Ashmore of Courtland, MS, Tracey Savage Willyard of Ft. Payne, AL; two brothers, Joe Savage of Sommerville, TN, Richard "Bo" Savage of Rossville, TN and eight grandchildren.
