William L. Nickle

William L. "Bill" Nickle age 83, of Batesville, MS passed away Friday evening, June 6, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Desoto in Southaven, MS. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Batesville Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family of Mr. Nickle will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Harrison Nickle, Bryan Nickle, Nickle Smith, Lawson Smith, Fred Graves, Dr. Michael Lovelace, Dr. Ford Dye and John Lovelace. Bill was born March 8, 1931 in Clarksdale, MS to the late Spears C. and Edith Meng Nickle. Bill was a member of the Batesville Presbyterian Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a longtime tire salesman for Dunlap and Kyle. Bill leaves cherished memories with his wife of sixty years, Carolyn Robinson Nickle of Batesville, MS; daughter, Susan Nickle Smith (Nathan) of Oxford, MS; son, William Steven Nickle (Kay) of Batesville, MS; brother, Brent Nickle (Fonda) of Batesville, MS and four grandchildren, Harrison Nickle, Bryan Nickle, Nickle Smith, and Lawson Smith.
