Mamie Earlene Dalrymple McCollister, age 87, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in Oxford, MS at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North Mississippi. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in Colbert Memorial Gardens, 700 Hwy 43 South, Tuscumbia, AL. Reverend J.C. Hand will officiate the service. Ms. Earlene was born to Bulah L. & Callie Reaves Dalyrmple in Russellville, AL, on July 5, 1926. She worked as a factory worker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscumbia, AL. Ms. McCollister loved her cats and had a natural green thumb. Those loving family members she leaves behind include, one sister, Bertha Lucille Lindsey of Tuscumbia, AL and 3 brothers, James Curtis Dalrymple of Batesville, MS, Nelson M. Dalrymple of Tuscumbia, AL and W. Harold Dalrymple of Batesville, MS. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. McCollister and one brother, Lonnie Francis Dalrymple.
