Monday, August 11, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with interment to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery in Coldwater, Ms. Reverend Karen O'Brien and Reverend David Snellgrove will be officiating. The family will receive friends at 12:00 Noon Monday until service time. Mrs. Henderson was born January 23, 1921 in Tate County, Ms. to the late Thomas N. and Myrtle Greer Dix. She was a Homemaker, member of Batesville Presbyterian Church, and former member of the Eastern Star Lodge #60. Mrs. Henderson is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Douglas Henderson of Batesville, Ms.; one daughter, Carol Lee Henderson also of Batesville, Ms. and a son, William Donald Henderson of Hernando, Ms. She also leaves 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jewel Dix, who died in Okinawa, Japan while serving in the U.S. Army in May 1945 during WW II.
