Alice Faye Walker, age 70, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Senan Gallagher officiating. Rosary will be held prior to the service at 12:45 p.m. Burial will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Those gentlemen honored to serve as Pallbearers will be: John Carraway, Allen McGinnis, Marc Doss, Bradon Smith, Derik Brower, Chris Brower, Michael Brower and Ricky Brower. The family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Friday until service time.
Faye was born to Mittie Gullick & Arnold Stewart on December 29, 1943 in Marks, Mississippi. She was a Communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Community in Batesville. Ms. Faye worked with Bell South Phone Company as an Operator and then moved on to become a Line Crew Manager. Her hobbies included, sewing, painting and all types of arts & crafts. She was known for her creative nature.
Those family members who will miss her dearly include, her four daughters, Jackie Statham of Batesville, MS, Sandra Goodwin (John) of Greenville, MS, Kalen House (Matt) of Searcy, AR and Kelly Williamson of Greenville, MS; 2 sons, Stephen Walker (Carolyn) of Walnut, MS and Nate Williamson (Laura) of Grenada, MS; 2 sisters, Dorothy Morganti of Clarksdale, MS and Martha McGinnis of Haleyville, AL; her grandchildren include, Terri Smith (Brandon) of Sardis, MS, Alden Graves of Searcy, AR, Lindsey Skogen (Sam) of Walnut, MS, Amanda Walker of Ashland, MS, Josie Walker of Walnut, MS, Clayton Turner of Grenada, MS, Kinley Williamson of Grenada, MS; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ashley Claire Smith of Sardis, MS, Cooper Smith of Sardis, MS, and Natalie Taylor of Ashland, MS.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, and one granddaughter, Ashley Williamson and a grandson, Whitten Graves.
