Margiree "Granny" S. Still

Margiree "Granny" Still, passed away on May 23, at the age of 96. Her funeral was at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS on May 25, with burial at Rosehill Cemetery in Sardis. Granny loved her church, her family, her many friends, gardening, and going places with friends and family. Her health recently prevented her from continuing her 36 years of perfect attendance at Como Baptist Church. Granny was preceded in death by her husband, Lois Still, two sisters-Grace Gray and Frances, and one brother George Smith. Her two surviving siblings are Buster and James Smith. She is also survived by her daughter Betty Lambert (Billy Joe) and son Billy Still, Sr. (Doris) of Como. Her five grandchildren are Phillip Lambert, Bridget Cahill, Greg Lambert, Billy Still, Jr., and Renee Harbin. Granny played an important role in the lives of her eight great-grandchildren. Como has lost one of its oldest and most memorable residents, but Heaven has gained one amazing angel.
