Faye Elizabeth "Momma Faye" Cook Adams

Faye Elizabeth "Momma Faye" Cook Adams, age 64, wife of Darrell Adams, went to her heavenly home Monday afternoon, May 19, 2014 at her home near Batesville, MS. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, 5/22/14, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Warren & Dr. Paul Middleton presiding. Interment will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery, Water Valley, MS. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home. Momma Faye was born to Mary Roberts Cook Harmon & Osmond Laura Cook on February 15, 1950, in Columbia, South Carolina. She was an active member of the Goodwill Church of God, near Marks, MS. Mrs. Adams was a retiree of Panola Mills, Inc. Many will remember how much she enjoyed cooking for other people. Momma Faye loved spending time with her children and grandchildren every chance she could. Reading and traveling were among her favorite hobbies. Those family members who will continue her loving and caring legacy, include her husband of 46 years, Darrell Adams of Batesville, MS; 3 sons, Jason Adams, Stevie Adams & Eric Adams, all of Batesville; one sister, Linda Cook Slaughter of Pope, MS; 2 brothers, Mitchell Harmon of Achworth, GA and Glen Harmon of Memphis, TN; and 5 grandchildren-Alyssa Adams, Anna Adams, Presley Adams, Caitlin Moore & Maggie Lauren Adams. Momma Faye was preceded in death by her parents.
