Floyd Franklin Barger, age 85, of Batesville, Ms. passed away Sunday morning, August 3, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Desoto in Southaven, Ms. Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday August 7, 2008 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday as well until service time at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Michael Bates and Mr. Robert Rawson will be officiating. Mr. Barger was the widower of Evelyn Scott "Mimi" Barger of Batesville. Floyd was born on July 23, 1923 in Lavina, Tn. to the late Virgil E. and Veta J. Blake Barger. Mr. Barger was a retired agent for Illinios Central Railroad and he served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a member of the Batesville Church of Christ. Floyd is survived by one son, Stanley E. Barger of Chesapeake, Va. and one daughter, Tami J. Barger of Batesville, Ms. He also leaves behind one Granddaughter and one Great-Grandson.
