Shirley Pinkston Youngblood, age 65, passed away Sunday morning, May 11, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park, Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time on Thursday. Shirley was born to Etoyle Engleburt & Ray Pinkston on April 6, 1949 in Batesville, MS. In 2012, she retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN, after finishing a 40+ year career as a Radiology Technician. Mrs. Youngblood was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church, Collierville, TN. Those family members she leaves behind, include her husband, of nearly 42 years, Richard Monroe Youngblood, Memphis, TN; 2 sons, Michael Shane Youngblood and Christopher Shawn Youngblood, both of Memphis; one sister, Sue Bradley of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 brothers, Richard Pinkston, Harvey Pinkston both of Batesville, Steve Pinkston of Marks, MS and Mike Pinkston of Alaska; and one grandchild.
