Robert L. Bradley

June 24, 1919 — April 25, 2014

Robert L. Bradley, age 94, died at his home, in Marks, MS on Friday afternoon, 4/25/14.  A funeral service, with Military Honors, will be 10:00 a.m. Monday morning, 4/28/14, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Murphy Eubanks & Mr. Kevin Hughes presiding.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sardis, MS.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Wells Funeral Home.  Robert was born to Jim & Molly Shaver Bradley in the Pleasant Grove community on June 24, 1919.  Mr. Bradley joined the United States Army in 1942 and continued to serve throughout World War II as a Private First Class.  He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Crowder.  Mr. Bradley retired from the South Panola School District after being a mechanic for 23 years.  His legacy will be cherished by his family members, which include his wife of 67 years, Marcia Geraldine Partain Bradley of Marks, MS; 2 daughters, Charlotte Harmon (Steve) of Water Valley, MS and Robbie Lindsey (Tommy) also of Water Valley; one son, Norman Bradley (Teresa) of Marks, MS; one brother, James Earl Bradley of Memphis, TN; 7 grandchildren, Ginger Tolison (Donnie), Scottie Morrow (Buffy), Denise McBrayer (Jason), Steven Bradley, Shannon Basinger (Andrew), Olivia Davis (Jon), and Alexis Lindsey; 2 step-grandchildren, Randall Dowdle (Brandy) & Sammy Dowdle (Teri) and 18 great grandchilden and one God Son-John Mark HughesThose honored to serve as pallbearers are:  Scottie Morrow, Andrew Basinger, Jon Davis, Jason McBrayer, Steve Bradley and Sammy Dowdle.  Honorary bearers:  Don Tolison & Randall Dowdle.
