Wayne Tidwell

Wayne Tidwell, age 77, died at his home, outside of Batesville, MS on Friday morning, 4/25/14.Reverend Derrick Simmons will officiate the home going for Wayne on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Pope, MS.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Wayne was born to William Doris & Mary Francis Tatum Tidwell on August 11, 1936 in Batesville, MS.  He was an active member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope, MS.  Mr. Tidwell served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves.  He was retired from the Batesville Casket Company.Those who survive Wayne include his son, Mark Tidwell of Batesville; 2 sisters, Linda Carol Lawrence & Robbie Louise Polland, both of Batesville, MS and 2 brothers, Joe Allen Tidwell of Oxford, MS and Larry Brooks Tidwell of Batesville, MS.Besides his parents, he is preceded by his wife, Barbara James Tidwell and one sister, Dorothy Ann Griffin.
