Shannon VanHoozer Francis, age 45, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 o'clock P.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery near Gore Springs, MS. The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 14, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. The Reverend Tim Morgan will be officiating the service.Shannon was born March 1, 1969 in Marks, MS to Ernest VanHoozer and Ellen Jones VanHoozer. Shannon was of the Baptist faith and attended Good Hope Baptist Church. Shannon was also a homemaker.Those family members left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Francis of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Paige Francis and Elizabeth Francis both of Batesville, MS; mother, Ellen Jones VanHoozer of Amory, MS; sister, Judith VanHoozer McCollum of Pontotoc, MS, and her brother, Eston VanHoozer of Memphis, TN.She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, John VanHoozer.
