Betty Lou Melton

Betty Lou Melton, age 75, passed away Friday morning, March 28, 2014 at Oxford Health and Rehabilitation in Oxford, MS. Funeral services for Betty will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Locke presiding.  Burial will follow in Lambert Cemetery with Elbert Ray, Austin Melton, Gerald Melton, Jerry Melton, Johnny Melton and Ricky Melton serving as pallbearers.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from Noon until service time.Miss Melton was born to John Leonard & Dona Stafford Melton on January 26, 1939 in Panola County, MS.  She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Batesville, MS.Those family members she leaves behind include two brothers:  Otis Melton of Courtland, MS and Darrell Melton of Pope, MS.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers:  William, Doyle, Odis and Roy.
