David Harmon

Mr. David Harmon, age 71, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Sunday, 3/16/14 in Franklin, TN.  He was a native of Oxford, MS and a son of the late David Irby & Betty Pettit Harmon, Jr.  David served in the National Guard as a helicopter pilot and retired from the United States Army as a Lt. Colonel.  He later retired as an Industrial Engineer and was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ.Survivors include his wife, Clynese Harmon of Chapel Hill, TN; daughters, Georgia Gay (Stan) Butt of Chapel Hill, TN, Joy (Len) Rinehart of Ashland CIty, TN; son, Monty Harmon of Miami, FL; sisters, Jane Harmon Crouch of AR and Ruth Harmon Reed and Rose Harmon Regis, both of MS; along with 9 grandchildren.Visitation will be Tuesday, 3/18/14, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wed., 3/19/14 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Dale Jenkins officiating.  Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, 3/20/14 at Magnolia Cemetery, Batesville, MS.The family has requested Memorial Donations be made to the Chapel Hill Church of Christ Mission Fund or Maywood Christian Camp, Hamilton, AL.
