Video Memorial Tribute Created By: Wells Funeral Home   George Kenneth “Frog” Alford, 74, of Batesville, Mississippi  passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Baptist Memorial North Mississippi Hospital of Oxford, Mississippi.  Visitation will be Monday, July 14, 2008 at 1:00 to 3: 00 P.M. Funeral services at 3:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Curtis Union Cemetery. Reverend Raymond Aven will officiate. Wells Funeral Home has charge. Pallbearers are Monty Vaughn, James Gaters, Buddy Sorrells, Jason Sorrells, Ronnie Hopper, Randy Elmore and Andrew Sorrells.   Mr. Alford was born January 23, 1934 in Carthage, Mississippi to James E. Alford and Jenny Quick Alford. He also was retired from Poloron and as a retail Owner and Operator of Alford Grocery in Curtis Community and a United States Army Veteran.   He is survived by his wife Lesa McCain Alford of Batesville, Mississippi; Two daughters Deborah Alford Brewer and Margaret Alford Nix both of Batesville, Mississippi; son Kenneth W. Alford of Batesville, Mississippi; Two Sisters Melba Alford Eichelberger of Walnut Grove, Mississippi and Nancy Alford Greer of Carthage, Mississippi; six grandchildren Brian Brewer, Chad Brewer, Amber Alford, Cody Alford, Charley Ann Nix, Olivia Nix Estridge and two great-grandchildren Jay Brewer and Emma Raye Estridge.
