Bobby M. Hudson

Mr. Bobby M. Hudson, age 78, husband of Betty Herron Hudson of Batesville, passed away on Friday morning, 3/14/14, in Oxford, MS at Baptist Memorial Hospital, North MS. A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday afternoon.  Bobby was born July 23, 1935 in Hickory Flat, MS to the late William Ward and Alice Bumpus Hudson. Bobby proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Independance Presbyterian Church. Bobby was a retired co-owner of Hudson and Sons Sand and Gravel. Bobby was a former commander of the V.F.W. Post in Batesville, MS from 2010 to 2011, past president of the Batesville Jaycees and a member of the Round Table.Bobby is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Herron Hudson of Batesville, MS; daughter, Sharon Hudson of Batesville, MS; two sons, Randall Hudson (Amy) of Olive Branch, MS, Chris Hudson (Shelley) of Courtland, MS; two sisters, Betty Ann Hudson Fischer of Plano, TX, Rosemary Hudson Davis of Batesville, MS; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
