Cathryn Jean Bowman

Cathryn"Kit Kat" Jean Bowman, age 57, died Sunday morning 2/23/14 at Glenburney Healthcare in Natchez, MS, where she was a resident for 2 months. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Sardis, MS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at Wells. Cathryn was born in Clarksdale, MS on April 16, 1957, to Monell & Lonzo Bowman. She was a resident of Lincoln Residental Home in Brookhaven, MS for 18 years and a resident of Graceland Nursing Home for 3 years. She enjoyed singing, music, dancing and playing bingo. Mrs. Bowman was Baptist by faith but attended Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Sardis, MS. Her survivors include 4 sisters, Peggy Ann Walters (Art) of Memphis, TN, Mary R. Jo Mooneyhan (Bobby) of Richland, MS, Betty Lou McKellar (Bill) of Water Valley, MS and Linda Ellis (Ken) of Batesville, MS. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Monell & Lonzo Bowman of Clarksdale, MS and 3 brothers, Frank Bowman of Clarksdale, MS, E.L. Bowman of Monroe, LA and Alvin Bowman of Booneville, MS.
