Susan L. Cook, age 55, passed away Friday morning, February 21, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi in Oxford.The funeral for Mrs. Cook will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, 2/23/14, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Cemetery, Courtland, MS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. Sunday until service time.Susan was born to Jesse Phillip Darby & Jessie V. Stafford Darby in Batesville, Mississippi on November 2, 1958. She worked as an Licensed Practial Nurse. Mrs. Cook was a member of Tocowa Baptist Church, Courtland, MS.She leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, Fred Cook of Courtland, one daughter, Amy Darby Webb of Sardis, MS; 2 sons, Robert Christopher Cook of Walls, MS and Fredrick Adam Cook of Courtland, MS; 8 sisters, Sandra Darby Wood of Walnut, MS, Linda Darby Mills of Courtland, Kathy Darby Tribble of Sardis, MS, Reba Darby Polson of Courtland, Helen Darby Pitcock of Batesville, MS, Betty Darby Perry of Sardis, Tina Darby Woodard of Batesville; 3 brothers, Jesse Phillip "Phil" Darby, Jr., of Courtland, Casey Darby of Batesville and Nolan Darby of Courtland; 3 grandchildren, C.J., Bobby, Landyn.Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Wayne Cook; 2 sisters, Lula Jo Lott and Melissa Hope Darby and brother, William O. "Bill" Darby, Sr.
