Betty Ann Siltman Pratt was born June 29, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, to Raymond L. Siltman and Martha Halliburton Siltman and passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at her home in Batesville, MS. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Sandra Siltman Martin; and her son, James Ray "Jim" Pratt. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Larry Joe Pratt, Sr.; two daughters, Cheryl Kay Pratt Linder and husband David of Meridian, MS and Beth Ann Pratt Dulap and husband Michael of Batesville, MS; one son, Larry Joe Pratt, Jr. and wife Denise of Hernando, MS.Eight Grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Linder, William David Linder, Rachel Ann Linder, Robert Pratt Dunlap, Morgan Rebecca Dunlap Standridge and husband Josh, William Michael Dunlap, Larry Joe Pratt, III and his wife Sarah and Jonathan Lee Pratt and two great grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth Pratt and Caleb James Pratt. One Sister, Martha Rae Siltman Finley of Starkville, MS and one brother, Leslie Howard Siltman of Galatin, TN. A devoted, kind, and patient caregiver and friend, Dyan Jenkins and a dedicated housekeeper and friend, Ernestine Butler. Mrs. Pratt grew up in Batesville and attended Batesville High School and the University of Mississippi where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business education. Betty held her Life Underwriters Training Council Certification and was a practicing Life Insurance Agent with Lamar Life and AFLAC. She has been a loving wife since June 26, 1959, and a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Church Choir, an Adult Sunday School Teacher and a Children’s Choir Director. She was also an active Explorer’s Bible Study Member, a Batesville Garden Club Member, a 4-H Leader and a Cub Scout Leader. On April 21, 2005 she attended the North Mississippi Walk to Emmaus #180 at Grenada Lake. Larry and Betty enjoyed traveling abroad and also in their motor home after Larry’s retirement. Betty was an accomplished seamstress, decorator, gardener and cook who was known for her generous heart and serving spirit. She delighted in doing for others. Click here : Video Memorial Tribute
