Jimmy W. Radford

Jimmy W. Radford, age 61, passed away in his home on Saturday, December 28, 2013. The funeral service for Mr. Radford will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 1/4/14, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel, Batesville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Jimmy was born in Batesville, MS on May 14, 1952 to Sidney Thomas & Kathleen Faye Harding Radford. He worked as a Criminal Investigator for the Desoto County District Attorney's Office. From there, Jimmy became an Administrator in Circuit Court for Judge George Ready; having retired after 20+ years from that position. Jimmy, an active member of the Hernando Optimist Club, and was also actively involved with the Hernando "A" Fair. Mr. Radford's memory will be cherished by those he leaves behind; including his brother, Dennis Radford of St. Amant, LA; 2 nieces, Rebecca Radford Ragon of Courtland, MS and Melissa Davis Gray of Oxford, MS, along with 3 nephews, Johnathan Davis of Oxford, Sammy Radford of St. Amant, LA and Daniel Radford, also of St. Amant, LA. Besides his parents, Mr. Radford was preceded in death by one sister, Vicky Davis, a brother, Flip Radford and nephew, Phillip Radford.
