Larry Russell Franks

Larry Russell Franks, age 55, passed away in his home, outside of Batesville, on Monday morning, 12/23/13. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Morgan,  officiating.  Burial will follow in GoodHope Cemetery, Batesville, MS.  The Franks family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at Wells Funeral Home. Larry was born on September 30, 1958 to Curtis Junior & Shirley Morris Franks in Lowndes County, MS. He was a member of the Looxahoma Baptist Church and was a National Guardsman, having joined in 1977 in Senatobia, MS. Larry was the husband of Katherin Morgan Franks. Others survivors include, two daughters, Casey Ann Franks of Harmontown, MS, Brandy Lea Franks Dunlap also of Harmontown, MS, Kimberly Davis of Senatobia, MS; 2 step-daughters, Lisa Forgarty Lunamand of Horn Lake, MS and Taren Denise Forgarty Denton of Madison, MS; sons, Larry Joe Forgarty of Batesville, MS and Lary Clayton Franks also of Batesville; two sisters, Debra Ann Franks Mabry of Senatobia, MS and Marion Franks Shutt of Phoenix, AZ a brother, Richard Curtis Franks of Senatobia; 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Franks. Those serving as Pallbearers include: Tim Blaylock, Chris Dunlap, Christian Franks, Austin Sprouse, Kevin Hadley, Chris Mabry, Clayton Franks and Jason Morris. Honorary Pallbearers: Donald Mabry and Doug Harrison.
