Martha Magee Toole

Video Memorial TributeGrenada, MS - Martha Magee Toole, age 72, passed away Sunday evening at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral service will be 2:00 O'clock P.M. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Oakland United Methodist Church, located at 14210 Hickory St., Oakland, MS. The family will receive friends at 11:00 O'clock A.M. Wedensday morning at The Herron House at 5 Spruce St, also in Oakland, MS. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS immediately following the funeral service. Reverend Rickey Harris and Reverend Clay Baker will be officiating with Tate Wood, Eddie Simmons, Rich Ross, Bryan Roberson, Shane White, Dr. Keith Stanford, Eddie Sosebee and Stefan Buchanan serving as pallbearers. Martha was born in Batesville to James Rupert & Marina Gates Hayward Magee on October 9, 1941. Throughout her life she loved music and therefore, she taught many the art of playing the piano. Martha also played for Tillatoba Baptist Church & Oakland Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of Oakland Methodist Church where she grew up and joined when she was 12 years old. Martha was a Realtor in Greenwood, MS. An avid bridge player, Ms. Toole, learned to play from her mother and was a member of the Oakland Bridge Club. Ms. Toole is survived by her four children, daughter, Ginny Sosebee of Batesville, MS; sons, Mark M. Toole of Cruger, MS, John R. Toole of Coldwater, MS, Hunt Toole of Holcomb, MS; three sisters, Barbara Magee of St. Louis, MO, Charlene Magee Leverette of Grenada, MS, Sylvia Magee Grant of Oakland, MS and nine grandchildren: Jim, Jordan, Sarah Beth, Claire, Terry, Thomas, Jacey, Darby and Andrew.
