Julian Polk McAlpin

Julian Polk "Pete" McAlpin, 71, passed away Wednesday June 4, 2008 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS. Visitation was Friday June 6, 2008 from 9:00 A.M. till services at 2:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Interment in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. Wells Funeral Home had charged of arrangements. Mr. McAlpin was born Novemeber 20, 1936 in Bolivar County, TN to Walter Alexander McAlpin and Annie Elizabeth Ferguson McAlpin. He was a retired river boat pilot. He also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Mr. McAlpin is survived by his daughter Julie McAlpin of Cordova, TN; two sisters Mamie Sue Arnold and Betty Ann Hamilton both of Memphis, TN.; one brother Charles Walker McAlpin of Millington, TN. He was preceded in death by Amie Lou Brennan, James Eugene McAlpin, Robert Clyde McAlpin and Marvin Carl McAlpin.
