Video Memorial TributeBarron Mack "Mackie" Rotenberry, age 56, passed away Tuesday morning, 11/12/13, at Baptist Hospital, Desoto Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, 11/15/13, in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Kilgore & Dr. Paul Middleton presiding. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The Rotenberry family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Wells Funeral Home. Mackie was born to Doyle "Mack" McCullar & Shirley Jean Turner Rotenberry in Marks, Mississippi on June 15, 1957. Formerly Mackie worked as a farm manager for Self & Company out of Marks, MS. Mr. Rotenberry later was the Owner and Operator of H & L Trucking Company. He attended Calvary Baptist Church, Batesville. Enjoying time in the woods is one way Mackie relaxed; whether it be hunting or fishing, he will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman. When football season began, blue and red ran through his veins as an Ole Miss enthusiast! Those loved ones he leaves behind include his wife of 33 years, Betty McCullar Rotenberry of Batesville; 2 daughters, Holly Rotenberry (Fiance', Jordan Bryant) and Liz Rotenberry Downs (Justin) also of Batesville; his mother, Shirley Turner Rotenberry of Batesville; along with 2 sisters, Sissy Rotenberry (Lamar) Johnson of Courtland and Lisa Gail Rotenberry (Paige) Hawkins of Batesville; one brother, Clinton Doyle (Ashley) Rotenberry also of Batesville; 2 granddaughters, which were his pride & joy, Lacey Beth & Morgan Downs; and numerous nieces & nephews. Honorary bearers include: Nick Sullivan and Stephen Whatley.
