Willie "Billie" L. Tucker

Mrs. Willie L. "Billie" Tucker, age 90, passed away on Wednesday Morning, 10/23/13, in the State Veterans Home, Oxford, MS. Mrs. Tucker is the widow of Milton Harry Tucker. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday morning, October 25, 2013, in the Veterans Section of Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Tucker was born June 19, 1923 in Memphis, TN to the late Robert William and Lora Lee Collins Durham. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was also a retired secretary for Benswanger Glass Company. Mrs. Tucker proudly served her country in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Specialist Second Clss and was Honorably Discharged on May 15, 1946. Those left to cherish her memory include, two daughters, Melanie Lynch of Oxford, MS, Deborah Emiston of Cordova, TN; son, Danny Tucker of Memphis, TN; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
