Video Memorial TributeMary Frances Harmon Woods, age 70, passed away at her home Saturday evening, October 19, 2013. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. Reverend Keith Bolen, Dr. Gary Berry and Dr. Tommy Snyder will be officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Batesville. The family will receive friends Monday evening, October 21, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home. Mary Frances was born October 17, 1943 in Batesville, MS to the late Russell Lee and Mildred Hayward Harmon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. Mary Frances worked as a bank teller for the former Bank of Batesville. Following her career at the bank, she and her husband went into business for themselves, forming Backwoods Trucking. After many years in the trucking business, Mary Frances and Mitchell decided to open Tri-Lakes Monument at their home on Highway 51 between Batesville and Sardis. Mary Frances is survived by her husband, Mitchell Woods of Sardis, MS; daughter, Machael Woods Sorrells of Batesville, MS; son, Rusty Woods (Meg) of Batesville, MS; two brothers, Hayward Lee Harmon (Sandra) and Bill Harmon (Bea) of Batesville, MS; five grandchildren, Keila Duarte, Carlee Woods, Hunter Sorrells, Sulli Woods and Mathew Woods. Other than her parents, Mary Frances was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lindsey Woods, grandson, Michael Brandon Presley, half-sister, Sara Toney and a half-brother, Russell M. Harmon.
