Beth Embry McIntyre, age 48, from New Orleans, LA, died October 16, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. A Memorial Service is planned for October 18, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. Visitation starts at 3:30 and the service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Beth was born November 28, 1964, in Eupora, MS to Russell and Lady Embry. She grew up in Batesville, MS, graduated from South Panola High School, attended Delta State University and then went on to Culinary School in Memphis, TN. In New Orleans she pursued her love and passion working as a chef, caterer and party planner for 30 years; a true ambassador of southern hospitality. Beth’s passion for caring for others led her to establish Dogs Day Out, a business that allowed her to care for her canine kindred spirits. Beth had recently moved home to Batesville MS to start a new phase of her life. She quickly made a difference in so many lives and was so thankful for all the love surrounding her. She was a generous, loving mother, sister, daughter and friend. Beth loved to laugh and she loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed music, dancing, entertaining and fellowship. Beth is survived by Hannah McIntyre (New Orleans LA) , daughter; Lady Caroline Embry (Batesville), Mother; Joey Strickland, brother and wife Kim (Batesville); sisters Ellen Embry (Takoma Park, MD), Emmy Embry Long (Eupora, MS) and Iantha Embry Hines (Gulf Port, MS) and many special friends. Beth was succeeded in death by her father. Because of Beth's love & compasion for animals, the family asks friends to please send memorial donations to the Panola County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1756, Batesville, MS 38606.
