Video Memorial TributeJames Harold Pitcock, age 77, passed away Wednesday evening, October 2, 2013 at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tim Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening, 10/4/13, at Wells Funeral Home. Mr. Pitcock was born on January 14, 1936 to Garland E. & Frances Deaton Pitcock in Panola County, Mississippi. He managed Taylor Lumber Company in Batesville for many years. Mr. James was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and watching various types of sports. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. To cherish his memory he leaves his wife, Shirley Tyler Pitcock of Batesville; 3 daughters, Teresa Pitcock Sturgis of Pope, MS, Fran Pitcock Kennon of Madison, MS & Kathy Pitcock Taylor of Batesville; one sister, Patricia Pitcock Wilson of Batesville; 2 brothers, Bobby Pitcock and Jerry Pitcock also of Batesville; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Pallbearers include: Jim Pitcock, Benjamin Pitcock, Jonathan Pitcock, Bill Wilson, Billy Smith and Kevin Smith.
