Charles Edward Scruggs

Charles Edward Scruggs, age 72, passed away on Wednesday morning, 10/2/13, at Golden Living Nursing Home, Batesville, MS. The funeral service for Mr. Scruggs will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Randy Rikard, Wayne Rikard, Gary Rikard, Bill Sparks, Donnie Williams & Kenneth Scruggs will serve as pallbearers. The Scruggs family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Mr. Charles was born to Thomas "Jack" & Buena Vista Still Scruggs on February 15, 1941 in Sardis, MS. He was a member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church in Sardis, MS. His survivors include his 3 sisters; Sally Scruggs Rikard of Pope, MS, Gladys Scruggs Sparks of Oxford, MS and Margaret Scruggs Mehan of Senatobia, MS; and 1 brother, James Robert Scruggs of Olive Branch, MS. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, L. W. "Billy" Scruggs, Tom Scruggs & Jessie Lee Scruggs.
