Mrs. Sara Lou "Sally" Houldsworth Morphis, age 81, wife to Ed Morphis, passed away Sunday Morning, 9/29/13, at Baptist Memorial Hospital North MS in Oxford, Mississippi.
Sally was born to Everett Neville & Mary Elizabeth Gimore Houldsworth in Taylorville, IL, on February 21, 1932. She was of the Episcopalian faith. Mrs. Morphis was a Registered Nurse and an Ultra Sound Technician but most people around the Batesville area will remember her best from her teaching in the South Panola School District in the most recent years.
Ms. Sally had a very large family, all of which will cherish her memory, including her husband of 20 years, Odie Edgar "Ed" Morphis of Courtland, MS; 5 daughters, Terri Rector Gray of White Oak, TX, Vikki Smith of Brownsburg, IN, Jean Secora of Henderson, NV, Joyce Sparks of Martinsburg, WV, & Shellee Bouressa of Marysville, WA; 5 sons, Mark Rector of White Oak, TX, Kenny Morphis of Florida, Todd Posey of San Diego, CA, Danny Morphis & Danny Sean Tomlinson of Bullhead, AZ; 2 sisters, Sue Nolin of Branson, MO and Judy Hardin of Florida; 25+ grandchildren and at last count, 10+ great grandchildren.
As per Sally's wishes, no services will be held at this time.
