Ouida Mae Ware Pollock, age 80, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2013 at Golden Living Nursing Home in Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home with interment following in Forrest Memorial Park. Reverend Al Mullan will be officiating, and the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pollock was born June 29, 1933 in Vaiden, MS to the late Jacob Lawrence and Sabie Pinkston Ware. She was a retired cook for the Manimark Corporation in Michigan and was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church. Mrs. Pollock dedicated her life to the Lord and also to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pollock leaves her husband of 63 years to cherish her memory, Jefferson Burl Pollock of Batesville, MS; four daughters, Beverly Pollock Buchannan of Adrian, MI, Conchetta Pollock Castle of Batesville, MS, Deborah Pollock Stokes of Milan, MI, Theresa Pollock of Batesville, MS; son, Bruce Pollock of Whitehills, AZ; sister, Betty Jean Ware Guest of Germantown, TN; brother, Tony Glenn Ware of Batesville, MS; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Pollock was preceded in death by her son, Jefferson Lawrence "Larry" Pollock.
