John "Rudy" Anthony

John Rudolph "Rudy" Anthony, age 65, of Grenada, MS, passed away at his home in Grenada, MS Friday evening, August 23, 2013. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at 2:00 P.M. and continue until 3:00 P.M. The Reverend Rick Shepard will be officiating. Rudy was born December 30, 1947 in Panola County, MS to the late John William and Katie Frances Johnson Anthony. He was a member of Sparta United Methodist Church in Holcomb, MS. Rudy was a Gun Smith and owned Grenada Gun Works for 40 years in Grenada, MS. Rudy is survived by his two sisters, Billie Anthony Lipshutz of Yulee, FL, Sue Anthony Moore of Pope, MS and his brother, Aaron Anthomy of Nole, MI. Those serving as pallbeaers include, Ronnie Houston, Danny Burt, Palmer Smith, Tim Perkins, John Hopper and Larry Baker, and honorary pallbearers will be John Baker Curlee Boone and Donald Freely.
