Harry D. "David" Ross, age 65, passed away on Wednesday morning, 7/31/13, in his home near Batesville, MS.
Funeral services for Mr. Ross will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Al Mullan officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Batesville, MS. The Ross family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday Evening, 7/2/13, at Wells Funeral Home.
David was born to James Hall & Peggy Joyce Farmer Lambert on November 8, 1947 in Corinth, MS. Mr. David was involved in many ventures during his life on this earth. He served in the United States Army where he piloted Cessna aircraft. His main profession was a Registered Nurse. Mr. Ross was an active member of Enon Baptist Church; a thirty-second degree Mason, in Lodge 760, Memphis, TN Chapter. In years past, he served as deputy sheriff for St. Francis County in Arkansas; a member of the Crowder Volunteer Fire Dept. Formerly he worked as a bodyguard for Jerry Lee Lewis. Many will remember him as a taxidermist who worked out of his home.
Those family members he leaves behind include his wife, Kay Bailey Ross of Batesville; brother, Ricky Lambert of Corinth, MS and man's best friend, "Chewy", his miniature dachshund.
